Diarmuid Saunders CGCS (Certified Golf Course Superintendent)

Diarmuid is the Golf Course Manager at Luttrellstown Golf Club. Diarmuid is a technical superintendent and his expertise is in operational management and golf course conditioning. He has proven experience in the areas of service excellence, operating standards and environmental management. Under Diarmuid’s leadership Luttrellstown became the first club in Ireland to successful deliver the “golf environment europe” environmental programme for golf courses and landscape. Diarmuid also brings vast expertise in golf course development, construction, and grow- in having worked in both private and commercial clubs. Diarmuid is one of select number of golf course superintendents in Europe who holds the CGCS certification. The CGCS professional certification is awarded by the GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America) to golf course superintendents with superior levels of achievement in golf course management. The professional designation (CGCS) Certified Golf Course Superintendent is bestowed upon those who voluntarily meet the stringent requirements. This designation is the most widely recognized in the golf industry and the highest level of recognition to be achieved.
