Tom Dorran

My interest in lawncare started off when I was in St Michaels CBS in Trim. I knew very early on that I wanted to work outdoors, whilst my pals at school were deciding various opportunities I new my future would be working with nature. Growing up in the countryside instilled a love for nature and working outdoors so with this in mind , I applied to study Greenkeeping and Sports turf Management at the College of Amenity Horticulture in the Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin. This was a truly unique opportunity working alongside skilled horticulturalists and it increased my interest even more in working in grasscare, whether it be in domestic or commercial settings.

I then worked for 13 years in various golf courses as a greenkeeper. Westmantown Golf Club and as the head greenkeeper at Elm Hall Golf Club. Prior to that I spent time working as a Sales Demonstrator in both Brodericks and Greencore Ltd. I have been working with Greenfeet now for over 11 years, I am the representative covering North Dublin (East and West), Meath and Louth. I and my team have vast experience and knowledge in garden maintenance, new lawn constuction, weed control and pest management. We also sell and install a wide range of robotic mowers in our area, for both the domestic and commercial market.

Currently I employ 2 fully qualified landscapers/garderners and a trainee.

Ian Walsh – Studied horticulture at college, experienced in landscaping and gardening. Worked on golf courses in Australia. Currently with company 6 years and has expertise with all aspects of the business.
Paddy Fanning – over 20 years’ experience is landscaping and garden maintenance.
Samuel O Awonusi – newest recruit to the company and currently in training.
My office is manned daily from 10am to 2 pm with Yvonne/Mairead on 086-4404697.
