Scarification

Scarification should be carried out every 2-3 years to remove any organic matter such as thatch (thatch is your lawn’s upper layer that consists of decaying leaves and other plant materials) and moss formed around the base of your lawn.

Scarification is the process of pulling dead moss and thatch out of your garden lawn. We use powereful scarifier machines that get the job done more efficiently and more thoroughly.

It is important to deal with it swiftly as thatch dries out, thickens and creates a barrier through which moisture and nutrients have a hard time getting through.

This in turn can lead to the grass roots suffocating.

Scarifying your lawn will make your lawn look worse, but once it recovers it should be far healthier than before.
