The GARDENA Universal Axe 1400A is a large robust axe that is ideal for different kinds of wood work like construction or forest work. This versatile axe ensures proper weight distribution and consequently increased striking and splitting power. The break-proof head handle attachment, which withstands any load, is another impressive feature. Thanks to the hammer function, large logs are no problem, as you can drive in wedges simply and effectively. The join between the handle and head is protected by a riveted stainless steel impact protection. It protects the handle if you miss the log when splitting. The premium tool steel blade with a special coating will not let you down, as it significantly reduces frictional resistance and makes it easier to penetrate the wood. Wood resins also do not adhere so easily. When designing the axe, a lot of care was taken to ensure safe as well as easy handling. The plastic handle is glass-fibre reinforced and equipped with soft grip components that prevent the hands from slipping. In addition, the cow’s foot (hook-shaped handle end) contributes to safety when sliding the hands up and down the handle.
